A useful access route starts before the first step. Look at the space your cat needs to approach, the path across the ramp and the surface at the top. Keep doors, cables and moving furniture out of that route. Pair the arrangement with a cat bed or lounge that will not shift as your cat arrives.

Read dimensions together

A maximum load figure does not tell you whether a staircase has suitable proportions for your cat. Check tread depth, total width, height and any recommended animal size together.
